How my journey began
Katie Tabet was born and raised in Southern Maryland. She is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) under clinical supervision. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. She is a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association and the Maryland Counseling Association. Katie specializes in working with adolescents and young adults and has experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Personality Disorders, Selective Mutism, Career Counseling, Sexual Health, and LGBTQ+. Katie uses a person-centered approach to counseling and therapy techniques from evidence-based modalities. This approach allows a personalized experience, since each individual is unique and not defined by a diagnosis.
